Emily Siegel, LICSW, LCSW

How long have you been running and hiding, overworking yourself, minimizing your pain, living in a constant state of fight or flight, all to avoid facing or confronting the truth?

  • Feeling paralyzed and lacking motivation?

  • Stuck in your own head with no way to make sense of your thoughts?

  • Fixated on the past or current stressors?

What if you had a space to vent, word vomit, cry, laugh, and express anger and emotion without any worry of being judged?

Curious about how therapy might be helpful or have tried therapy in the past and haven’t found a therapist that you just “click” with? My zone of genius is being a human, just like you are—genuine and authentic, while guiding you to realize that everything in life is figureoutable.

It probably will suck at first. Honestly, it’ll probably suck a lot, but continuing to people please, work yourself into a state of burnout, and overcompensate in attempts to increase a sense of control will only prolong your pain.

Investing in therapy invites a safe place to talk about whatever is impacting your life. We’ll approach our sessions from a place of curiosity and not judgment. We’ll be asking tough questions with empathy and exploring different perspectives to create a plan to improve your well-being. We’ll move toward understanding and recognizing patterns or habits that are no longer serving you or holding you back from the life you want to live.

This is the first step to choosing yourself. Choose yourself, however messy that journey may look. Therapy is a version of self-discovery—things that happened, things that didn’t work, things you enjoy, and goals you have in life. Let’s figure out how to make them happen and decide what things are for you and only you. The only way therapy will work is if you come ready to be honest with yourself. This will be a vulnerable and courageous process. I am here to embrace your courage and support you along the way. This is taking power and control of your life back.

What happened to you isn’t your fault, but it is within your control to work through and heal from it.
