Most people want to avoid pain at all costs. But if pain is being felt in all directions, it can be hard to let others in or know where to start with addressing it. The key to pain is acknowledging it and learning ways to better understand and manage it. Otherwise, one may be stuck in a loop of unhealthy habits and negative coping strategies.

Investing in therapy can feel overwhelming. What if I do not like my current therapist? What if I feel judged or uncomfortable?

Often, you want to know that you and your time are valued and that you are building skills that can help you outside of the therapy office. You’re often unlikely to choose yourself or put yourself first. Maybe you’re a people pleaser but at the end of the day, who is supporting you? Choosing to invest in therapy is choosing to invest in yourself.

Establishing a positive therapeutic relationship with a therapist can help you work through some pivotal moments in your life. What better time to establish a relationship than now? I like to approach my sessions from a place of curiosity that allows me to meet you where you are but create a plan that does not leave you there.

Learning to avoid frustration, pain, and better oneself is not a linear journey for anyone. There will be hurdles to jump over and mountains to climb but if you are willing to try, I am willing to support you and provide you with the necessary tools to conquer all. I want to help you build confidence, establish healthy connections with others, and put newly learned skills to use.

I enjoy working with clients who are open to new ideas, willing to be challenged, and are honest about their struggles. Clients who may need help viewing things differently and who may need help getting unstuck from their typical daily routine.

I want to normalize therapy and help you understand that I, too, am an average human being, despite my education. I want you to feel comfortable enough to share your highs, lows and everything in the middle.

I’m a provisional therapist working toward LMHC licensure. I recently graduated from Springfield College with my Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
